My Story

Mac MarcouxI lost my eyesight at the age of 9 due to Stargardt’s Disease which is a juvenile form of Macular Degeneration.  Since that day I have not looked back.  I searched for Athletes with the same disability as me, and was inspired by Brian McKeever.  He told me that the possibilities were endless. It was at that moment that I decided I wanted to ski race. My brother said he would help me to live out my dreams and jumped on board as my Guide.  Speed is in our blood as a former go-kart  and  stock car racers.  I am blessed and continue to be inspired by friends I have met in the sport like Josh Duek, Chris Williamson and all other members of CPAST, AOPRT and the ski world.  Taking my buddies advice, chasing dreams, living large with hopes of skiing in Russia at the 2014 Winter Paralympics . I am grateful every day to my brother, BJ who guides me not only in skiing..but in achieving all goals in life.
